MSU VALDEZ

Marine Safety Unit Valdez is located 304 miles east of Anchorage and 364 South of Fairbanks. Members at MSU Valdez ensure the safety and security of the Prince William Sound. Unit operations consist of oil spill response, facility inspections, marine casualty investigations, domestic inspections, waterways management, container inspections, and starting next year foreign passenger & tank vessel exams.
