Coast Guard aviation has had a proud tradition of service to the people and nations of the Hawaiian Islands and the Central Pacific.  Today the men and women of the Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point serve as "Guardians of the Pacific" in their support of the Fourteenth Coast Guard District, the largest and most culturally diverse of all Coast Guard operating areas.  With a commission to protect 12.2 million square miles of open ocean, atolls, and island nations Air Station Barbers Point enhances the readiness of the Fourteenth District with long range patrol and logistical support capabilities, as well as quick and versatile search and rescue response.
