CGC Kittiwake LogoCGC KITTIWAKE (WPB 87316) is a Marine Protector Class Patrol Boat stationed in Honolulu, HI. As one of Sector Honolulu’s most versatile afloat assets, KITTIWAKE provides support to over 50,000 square miles around the waters of the major Hawaiian Island Chain in the areas of Law Enforcement, Search and Rescue, and Living Marine Resources/Marine Protected Species.

Originally stationed in Nawiliwili, Kauai after relieving the CGC CAPE EVANS, CGC KITTIWAKE was relocated to Honolulu, Oahu in 2010. Named after the marine predator and seagull, kittiwake, CGC KITTIWAKE’s unit motto is “Aikane O Ke Kai” which is Hawaiian for “Friends of the Sea”.
