DPI (District / Prevention / Inspections and Investigations)
The 13th Coast Guard District's (D13) Inspections and Investigations Branch (dpi) of the Prevention Division oversees all aspects of commercial vessel and waterfront facility inspections. D13 dpi has individual program coordinators for towing vessels, commercial fishing vessels, recreational boating safety and port safety and security. D13 dpi also oversees marine casualty investigations and merchant mariner suspension and revocation cases throughout the District. The D13 Inspections and Investigations' mission posture is guided by the Coast Guard’s core values, the Commandant’s Direction, and the D13 Commander’s Strategic Intent.
