Air Station Sacramento is located at the Sacramento McClellan Airfield. Employing 6 HC-27J Spartan Medium Range Surveillance aircraft, it supports the eleven statutory Coast Guard missions along nearly 1300 miles of coastline from the Olympic Peninsula and Strait of Juan de Fuca in the north to San Diego, CA and the Tijuana River in the south. As an integral member of the Eleventh Coast Guard District and Pacific Area Team, Air Station Sacramento’s primary capabilities support the following missions: Search and Rescue, Drug Interdiction, Enforcement of Laws and Treaties, Marine Environmental Protection, and Homeland Security, in addition to providing medium range airlift logistical support to Cost Guard and Homeland Security units and missions all along the Pacific Coast.

Public Affairs missions are scheduled around the operational requirements of our unit and are always subject to cancellation if operational necessities or restrictions arise. Please note that the Aircraft Commander and Aircrew reserve the right to cancel missions if weather or other unsafe factors provide an unacceptable level of risk. Requests made within two weeks of the event date are subject to denial.

 *Groups interested in tours of Air Station Sacramento must submit a list of participants to the public affairs officer at least 14 days prior to the desired date.
