MISSIONS:

PSU 309 is a key component & a Deployable Special Force (DSF) unit. The PSU mission includes providing waterborne and land-based protection for shipping and critical port facilities. The unit is deployable worldwide within 96 hours of recall, the PSU also responds to domestic missions, including humanitarian assistance. PSU’s can operate independently or with other naval coastal warfare units.
