USCGC BOUTWELL (WHEC 719)

On March 16, 2016, Boutwell was Decommissioned at a ceremony at Naval Base San Diego in California. Vice Admiral Charles W. Ray, Commander Pacific Fleet and Defense Force West, presided over the ceremony which honored Boutwell's many years of dedicated service to our nation. In the next few months, her crew will prepare her for a foreign military sale and transfer to the Philippine Navy, where her service will continue. Although her time in the Coast Guard Fleet has drawn to a close, she will always be remembered for her prestigious legacy and reputation as "The Best in the West."
