Unit Ombudsman
Aloha! My name is Lindsay Kate Baiotto, but most people just call me Kate. I am the spouse of ET1 Michael Baiotto, and when I say I married my best friend I mean it literally. Three weeks before Boot Camp he suggested the idea that instead of saying goodbye we get married and go together. One week before Boot Camp he actually proposed and the next day I married my best friend. It was absolutely one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life, and now we’ve been part of the Coast Guard family for 7 years! During that time I spent my energy getting to know and supporting student spouses in Petaluma, the CG Spouses Association as Vice President in Virginia, Military families of all branches and ranks in South Carolina, and now I have the privilege of serving as Ombudsman for the first time here in Hawaii. My heart is drawn to military families as there is so much unknown and the separation from extended family and friends is hard on everyone. My hope is that the families of the KIMBALL will always feel comfortable and welcome to reach out with questions, needs, concerns, or just a desire to build community. I cannot wait to meet you!
